Top 100 Online Findability 2011

Online reach almost the same in spite of shrinking budgets
Nijmegen, November 1, 2011 – Since 2006 iProspect, formerly Search Engine Mediabureau Checkit, researches the 100 best findable websites in the Netherlands. The Top 100 Online Findability measures the online reach from the 100 largest online advertisers in search engines in 2010. The results show that the decline in online media budgets in 2010 has virtually no influence on the online reach in search engines.

Top 100 Online Findability 2009: ‘Only’ 31% of Holland’s largest online advertisers have an optimal online findability

Nijmegen, 2 December 2009 – Search Engine Mediabureau Checkit has studied the online findability of Dutch advertisers for the fourth time. 31% of the websites have an optimal findability by achieving a findability score of 80% or higher. A disappointing result; the Top 100 Online Findability is based on the 100 organizations with the highest online media spend of the Netherlands (source: Nielsen).

Top 100 Findability 2008

Nijmegen, 1 October 2008 – Search Engine Mediabureau Checkit, part of Isobar, studied for the third time the online findability of the 100 largest advertisers in the Netherlands for search engines, based on data from Nielsen Media Research,. This year the online findability for the websites studied has further improved: the average online findability has again increased. This year 64% of the organizations in this study have a findability score of 50% or more.

Aegis Media takes over search engine marketing agency Checkit

Nijmegen, 6 September 2007 – Consumers spend more time online and the online consumer spending increases steadily. Search Engine Mediabureau Checkit has conducted a study about the online findability of the 100 largest advertisers (source: Nielsen Media Research) in search engines. Only 8% scored well.

Buyers and information searchers view search results differently

The Netherlands, 22-02-2007 – For the first time an eye tracking study, conducted by De Vos & Jansen Market Research and Search Engine Mediabureau Checkit, makes clear that searchers with the intention to buy and searchers for information show different viewing habits for search results. This study proves that buyers view more search results and are more brand orientated than information searchers.
